Sight itself had grown a harsh membrane
Ted Hughes, ‘Rain Charm for the Duchy’
Against glare and particles
I am sorry to tell you that after yesterday’s lovely but extremely hot walk, I have had to pause this journey for now. I got too much sun yesterday and I can’t carry the amount of water that I need to keep safe. The next three days are all forecast to be even hotter and I decided that it would be dangerous to tackle the mountains on my own. Exacerbated by the enormous blister that forces me to walk on tiptoe up hills!
I’ve come half way, so will pick up again when it’s cooler and my foot is sorted out. I’ll get yesterday’s blog finished when I have recovered! Perhaps on the train home.
That’s all for now, folks!

Such a sensible decision! Taking care of oneself is a top priority. Hugs Xx

Good call, Sophie. I get pounding headaches from any exertion in the sun. And maybe those pesky nettles will have died back? x
